ARC is a volunteer-run group of professional artists, creatives and arts lovers across the Alpine region. We run events, connect creatives to each other and the community, and keep track of what's on.

What we do
Looking for something to go to
From Myrtleford to Bright and Mount Beauty, we run day-festivals, jams, salons and workshops throughout the year.
Each month we send an email via our friends at The Raclette, with what's on: exhibitions, gigs, workshops, open studios and callouts.
If you make things
Come to an ARC Jam and meet other artists in this region. We would love to meet you and help connect you with local musicians, painters, writers, comedians, actors, ceramicists, photographers, designers, filmmakers, textile artists and makers.
Tell us what you need and we'll point you at local people. A band, an MC, a photographer, someone to run a workshop, we can help.

Daniel A’Vard, Chair & Visual Artist Lead
Daniel is a visual artist working across photography, illuminated lightbox installations, painting, fabric and natural pigment. His practice draws from contemplative traditions to make maps of what lies beneath the surface. He holds an MFA from RMIT, has exhibited across Victoria, and is the founder and current Chair of ARC.

Nicky Bomba is a musician, songwriter, producer and drummer whose career is driven by rhythm, collaboration and a deep love of bringing people together through music. Alongside his work as drummer with the John Butler Trio, he is the founder and leader of the Melbourne Ska Orchestra and Bustamento, with an extensive career performing, recording and collaborating with artists in Australia and internationally.
Based in Freeburgh, he is a passionate advocate for live music and creative community, Nicky’s work celebrates cultural connection, musical exchange and the collective energy of making and experiencing music together. Find Nicky here.Nicky Bomba, Treasurer & Music Lead
Britt Howard, Vice President & Design Lead
Britt is an interior designer, curator and founder of Britt White Studio, known for creating considered, characterful interiors that balance strong ideas with the practicalities of how people live. Her work is grounded in curiosity, storytelling and a deep interest in people, using colour, materiality and unexpected detail to create spaces that feel personal rather than prescribed. Based in Wandiligong, Britt works across residential, workplace and hospitality projects and is a strong advocate for thoughtful design, creative collaboration and the value of a well defined design process. Tim is a composer, songwriter and producer whose career spans songwriting, touring, recording, live performance, DJ’ing, artist development and creative collaboration, both in Australia and internationally. His work is grounded in a strong belief in collaboration and supporting emerging artists, drawing on broad industry experience across production, mentoring and artist management.
Based in the Bright, Tim collaborates with Transmitter Records in Freeburgh and is behind an annual outdoor electronic music festival at The Farm at Freeburgh, bringing together artists, music and the local community.Tim Schroeder, Music Lead
Steph is a longtime actor, singer and performer based in Porepunkah, working across theatre, music and film, and about to direct her first play in 2027. She’s also a strategy facilitator and coach who runs leadership workshops and retreats through SF Consulting, and works with businesses on systems, processes and team dynamics.
With ARC, Steph’s vision is to build mentoring and career pathways for artists and creatives, growing out from here into Albury/Wodonga, Melbourne and Sydney. She’s focused on giving creatives the entrepreneurial and business skills that make an arts career viable.Stephanie Frobose, Performing Arts Lead
Mark Russell, Education lead
Mark began his creative journey studying ceramic design and photography. After successfully operating a ceramic and sculpture studio with his partner Jo, Mark fell in love with teaching. He spent 35 years in art and design education whilst also retraining and working as a graphic designer. This led him to become involved in exhibition design, visual merchandising and promotions. Twenty years ago, an interest and hobby became the new career; he was given the opportunity to complete a mentorship with some of Australia's best Guitar makers. He helped establish the only luthier qualification in Australia and delivered training in the course for 17 years.
Mark now resides in Tawonga in the Kiewa valley and operates a small instrument making and repair workshop. He's a true believer in creative education, access and involvement in the Arts.
Jenny is an experienced executive, leader and collaborator with a background in economic development, strategy and community outcomes through her work with Alpine Shire Council and East Gippsland Shire Council. She brings strong skills in leadership, stakeholder engagement, problem solving and building productive partnerships, with extensive experience turning ideas into practical, sustainable outcomes.
Through ARC, Jenny is focused on strengthening the creative economy and helping artists and makers build sustainable careers and earn good incomes from their work. Based in Bright, she has a personal interest in textiles, tapestry and Aboriginal art, and is passionate about connecting people, ideas and opportunities to help the Alpine region’s creative community thrive. Alex Sinickas, Community lead
Alex is an engineer, project manager and passionate advocate for the creative life of the Alpine region. She loves working on projects where she help mould an idea into reality, and has worked in research, design and construction for 20 years.
Based in Bright, Alex is also the co-founder of The Raclette, a local publication giving a monthly rundown of the gigs, markets, exhibitions and odd one-offs happening across the North East. A lifelong lover of music and art, she brings creative thinking, storytelling and an instinct for making things happen at ARC, helping create new opportunities for the region’s creative community.
